Matilda Reed is a Melbourne-based designer and stylist, creating unique and intrinsically personal interior spaces that reflect the narratives of those who call them home.
Matilda’s projects feature high quality and ethical products and materials—often from local emerging brands and designers—reflecting her belief that design should transcend and outlast trends. This thoughtful approach is evident in Matilda’s work, which sees carefully selected furniture, lighting, textiles, artwork and objects combine to create deeply personalised and enduring interiors that shape the way in which a home will be experienced and enjoyed for years to come.
With a background in the creative arts industry, Matilda’s experience grants her the unique ability to relate to and understand her client’s needs, reimagining the way in which spaces could be designed to better respond to the needs of those who live within them. In addition, before starting her own interior practice, Matilda worked for almost a decade in interior styling for photography; her detail-driven and flexible approach honed during this time is now evident within her work designing and styling residential interiors.
